Bull Falls Brewers Meeting Minutes for February 12, 2004
Hereford & Hops
The February meeting was started with
Mike Roman's presentation on India Pale Ales. Mike briefly explained the history
of IPAs and also passed out some literature for a more detailed
explanation. He brought in a number of commercial beers for everyone to
taste. It was amazing how different they all tasted. Mike continued
his presentation with an explanation on dry hopping. Discussion was
started on techniques by those who have dry hopped their beers. The
use of hop bags, leaf hops, pellet hops, marbles and sanitation were some
of those things discussed. Mike's presentation was great. Thanks for
putting that together. Suggestions for next months presentation are
welcome.
The business part of the meeting was then started
when Mark Strehlow asked if there was any business to be discussed. Kevin
agreed to give a tour of the brewery sometime in the future.
Mike Roman asked how the forum is working for
everyone. He stressed that since this program archives everything, you can
access items at anytime, which e-mail doesn't allow. If you
haven't registered yet, what are you waiting for! Mike will do his best to
get you access as fast as he can.
There are a number of beer related events taking
place in the coming weeks.
Ice Brew in Stevens Point this weekend
Taste of Tomahawk on March 20
Up North Beer Weekend in Bayfield on March 5 &

Great Job!
Sorry if I missed anything but let me leave you with
this:
"Listen to your
beer! Listening to your beer can help you not worry and relax. When
you've heard all there is to hear, well then . . . Have a homebrew!" Charlie
