Minutes from Bull Falls Brewers Meeting February 8, 2007

Attendance = about 10
 
Location: Herford & Hops (blue room)
 
Proceeded with discussion on changing the current timing of re-election of officers. Which was to nominate in January and hold elections in February.
 
ACTION:
 
Mike Roman made a motion to move nominations from Jan to Feb and elections from Feb to March. The motion was seconded by Tom Zahaski and was unanimously approved.
 
General Discussion
 
Treasures' report was presented by Bret Danke. Bret pointed out that we currently don't have a fund raiser planned for 2007. However with membership dues the club has operating cash for some of our events.  Annual membership dues are payable at the March meeting. $20.00 per family unit.
 
Mike Roman started a fund raiser discussion that involved brainstorming various bus trip options for touring Wisconsin Breweries and as a way to generate interest collaborating with other clubs.
 
Mike Roman talked about the Central Waters Grand Opening and as of this late writing the past Polar Brew on the ice sponsored by the Point club. Mike also mentioned Hops & Props beer dinners in Oshkosh this spring and summer. For more info check with Mike Roman.
 
A casual discussion regarding meeting location took place due to our continuing scheduling conficlts with H&H.
 
ACTION:
 
Nominations from the floor were accepted for 2007.
 
Nominated were:
 
President: Bill Flood
Treasurer: Bret Danke and Mark Strelow
Secretary: Travis Skroch
 
Due to low turnout for our meeting Mike Roman made a motion to accept nominations until next meeting. Nominations are also being accepted via the internet through the Bull Falls Hombrewers list serv. The motion was seconded by Travis and unanimously passed. Any club member can nominate someone for office.
 
General Discussion
 
Travis Bret and Tom recounted there experiences at the Upper Mississippi mash out where all three were very successful. Some nice looking medals were passed around for everyone to see.
 
After some time the remainder moved to the H&H bar.
