Minutes from Bull Falls Brewers Meeting April 12, 2007
The meeting was held at High Noon Saloon & Eatery in Marathon, WI. 17 members and 3 new people in attendance.
The meeting was called to order at 7pm by President Bill Flood.
Mike Roman made a motion to reimburse Ryan Hall $100 for a large copper
kettle. Discussion. Motion passed unanimously.
A summer group brew was discussed. We decided to leave the topic for next month's meeting.
We discussed the need to find new meeting space since we're having
difficulty getting space at Hereford & Hops. Everyone is
encouraged to search and report back to the club.
Treasurer's Report: Brett Danke reported we have $873.52.
This month's topic was Northern English Brown Ale tasting and judging
for the Golden Growler competition. 3 tables of judges each
judged 3 - 4 beers and sent on the top 2 from the table for a Best of
Club round. A head judge from each table judged Best of Club and
chose the top 3 beers overall. The winners were -
Travis Skroch - Frostbite Brown Ale
Brett Danke - November Brown
Bill Flood - NEBA
The club chose 3 styles for next year's competition. They were German Weiss/Weizen, American IPA, and Saison.
