Minutes from Bull Falls Brewers Meeting Dec. 13, 2007, 7:00pm - Hereford & Hops, Wausua, WI
Bill Flood called the business meeting to order at 7:05pm. There were 12 members present.
The 10th annual Ice Cold Beer Fest is Jan. 5 in
Minocqua. Hotel prices are $119, but
you might get a cheaper rate if you tell them you are coming for the beer
fest. You can also try telling them
you’re a vendor and you might get the vendor rate! If you have beer to serve and plan to attend please contact Bill
Flood.
We discussed selling t-shirts at the festival. No official action was taken, but if Bill
and/or Mike Roman can get a good deal they may go ahead and order 20 to get
things started.
The Brew B.L.A.S.T. scheduled for Jan. 12 at H&H has
been cancelled. Brett said he heard the
Volunteer Association of Marathon County is closing so the Brew B.L.A.S.T. may
be gone for good.
New to the Golden Growler inter-club portion of the
competition is the opportunity for Bull Falls and CWDB to each invite one club
into the competition. CWDB has already
invited a club out of Wisconsin Dells.
We decided to invite the Green Bay Rackers. Travis will get in touch with their club’s leadership.
Our January dinner party will be Jan. 10 at 6:30pm. Bill will send an update to the e-mail list looking for RSVP’s and confirming all details.
Mike Zamzow’s “5 Star" beer (Bull Falls Brewery) is on tap
at 2510. Mike is also apparently open
for business and will be having some kind of grand opening celebration soon.
Mike Roman led a talk on American IPAs and the club sampled 2 commercial varieties as well as Brett Danke’s homebrewed interpretation.
The meeting never officially ended, but broke down into socializing and beer tasting as usual.
