Minutes from Bull Falls Brewers Meeting June 12, 2008

Representatives from the club evaluated two products from the Bull Falls Brewery. Members tasted the Whitewater Ale, a cream ale styled beer, and the newly-tapped Holzhacker Lager, a Munich Helles. The panel enjoyed both, with the Holzhacker scoring slightly better.

The regular meeting was called to order at 7:05pm

Treasurer Greg Sperry reviewed our finances, reporting:
$691.64 in savings
$190.17 in cash

The group performed introductions welcoming two new people.

President Travis Skroch announced several events:

Wausau Brew Ha-Ha was held in May and anecdotal evidence suggests it was well received

June 21st - Solstice Brew in Stevens Point (Irving Park). Great opportunity for learning and networking with lots of homebrewers
July 26th - Hub City Days in Marshfield - We can provide booth, information, and homebrew
August 3rd - Mead Day - Designed to be a "group brew" day
August 28th - Bass Lake Golf Course Brewfest

If interested in coordinating the Hub City Days or Bass Lake Golf Course Brewfest on behalf of the club, please contact Travis.

Big Brew - The idea of another big brew was discussed. Travis will contact Jeff Berens regarding availability of a facility.

The July meeting will be held in Marathon Park, Wausau.  Watch the website/e-mail list for details.

Mike Zamzow, brewmaster at Bull Falls Brewery and club member provided a tour of the facility and complimentary beer. Our thanks to Mike for his hospitality.
