3rd Annual Golden Growler Homebrew Club Challenge
Clark Place, Stevens Point

Bull Falls wins it's first ever Golden Growler
competition! Congratulations to Bill Flood, Travis Skroch, and
Brett Danke for the winning effort brewing Northern English Brown Ales,
and extra congrats to Brett who took first place overall!
As the winner Brett chose next year's competition brew randomly out of a hat. Brett chose American IPA - hopheads rejoice!
Bull Falls did well in the people's choice as well:
Light Ale/Lager - Travis Skroch, Blonde Ale
Medium Ale/Lager - Mark Strehlow, Altbier
Experimental - Brett Danke, Spearmint 'Speriment
Cider/Mead - Brett Danke, Apple Wine
Pale Ale - Ted Zinn, American Pale Ale
Congratulations to all! A very successful Golden Growler competition!

2nd Annual Polar Brew on the Ice, Sunset Lake,
Amherst
Junction

Point Brew Supply and
Briess Malt
sponsored the Second Annual Polar Brew on the Ice at Sunset Lake
in Portage County.
The event was a great
success this
year, with temperatures reaching the low 20s!
The Bull Falls
Brewers had a good
showing on the ice, along with the Central Wisconsin Draught
Board and the Waupaca Homebrewing organization.
Thanks again to Marc
"Brewtera", Point Brew Supply, and Briess Malt for
sponsoring this fun and educational event for Central Wisconsin
homebrewers.

Ice Cold Beer Festival, The Waters of Minocqua,
Minocqua,
Wisconsin.
The Bull Falls
Brewers hosted a table at the
Ice Cold Beer Festival in Minocqua again this year.
The Waters of
Minocqua was a
great host for this entertaining charitable festival for the
Dr. Kate Hospice.
Many club members
donated beer for
the festival and quite a few participants were amazed when they
found out our beers were not commercially brewed.
Thanks to Bill and
JoAnne Flood
and Mark Strehlow for organizing the club's
participation again this year.
Thanks also go to the
Central
Wisconsin Draught Board and Waupaca Homebrewing Organization
(W.H.O.) for bringing great beer for the event and volunteering
to help at the table.

Big Brew at Jeff Berens' House
Jeff
and Cris Berens
hosted a fantastic BIG BATCH brewing day using Jeff's newly
constructed HERMS mash tun and Bill Flood and Bob Beck's
monster kettles.
At the end of the
brewing day 14
carboys were filled with just under 100 gallons of wort for a
German Dunkle Weizen.
We had a great turn
out of brewers
of all levels of experience to see how large scale all-grain
brewing is conducted.
Thanks again to Bill,
Matt, Bob,
Brett and of course, Jeff and Cris, and everybody else who helped
plan and organize the BIG Brew!
